At home

I do not have anything specific to discuss tonight. I just felt like blogging.

We're watching Dancing with the Stars right now. It's amazing I'm devoting my spare time to watching a show like this. But, it's ok.

I think I'm going to go to Apple.com and wonder around. I'm going nuts about the iMac. It NEEDS to be purchased as soon as possible. Pray for me!

Adios!

Megan's Parents

Well my boss decided to buy a new computer for someone in the office. The old computer was brand new in 2002. It has had numerous upgrades and clean ups, etc etc. It's a PC with a Windows XP OS. My boss told me that once everything was transfered over, they were simply going to throw the old computer in the dumpster. My first reaction was to offer to throw it away myself. I would take pleasure in tossing an old crappy PC in the trash.

But then I realized that Megan's parents don't own a computer. They have actually never even used one. Her mom has only ever typed on a typewriter. And her dad, has NEVER typed.

Even tough it pains me to no end, I think the right thing to do is give the computer to her parents. The only thing they will ever do, is look up simple websites on the internet, and use AOL mail. The computer is in good enough shape to handle all of that.

I just had it in my mind that we would show up one day with an iMac just for them. I can't imagine ever getting anything other then a Mac. They just.....make sense.

That's it for now.

Oh by the way, Megan and I were at Giant that other day (the local fancy smancy grocery store) and I saw a very cool car in the parking lot. It was an old Mercedes station wagon. Diesel engine. But the great thing is that it had a Biodiesel sticker on the back. I walked up and noticed that it had an extra tank in the back! This thing runs on Vegetable Oil! So awesome. I watched a special on this once. It was an episode I downloaded from iTunes of a station called Greentv. This guy can go to Mcdonalds and pick up all of their used Vegetable Oil. Then he can use it to fuel his engine. It doesn't get much better then that.

Oh and by the way, it had California plates!!!

ok well I'm rambling

Adios!!!

3 Days

Well in 3 days, October will be over. I have been counting down the days since August! You see, October is the busiest month of the entire year where I work. It's just brutal. And as some of you might know now, I am going to be working from home building my own business starting sometime in December. Don't get me wrong, November is going to be busy. But it looks like the worst is over. So that makes me smile.

I have set up landmarks for me. The first major landmark, was to get the warehouse set up. That is an awful ordeal. It happened in August, and it went ok. The next landmark, was to get through September. September is busy, but we don't have the full crew there, and my hours were from 8am-4pm.

The next landmark, was October. This month was brutal because the full crew comes in. It's 9 people that I'm the boss of. Sounds exciting, but it isn't! And, my hours change to 6:30am - 4 or 5pm. I just want to get to the end of October. Well when I leave work on Wednesday, the end of October will have arrived.

November will still consist of the full crew and getting to work at 6:30am. The next landmark is ACC's. That happens on November 10th. ACC's is championships for the drumline I teach. It's a big event and a long weekend. Lots of fun.

After that, it's Thanksgiving. Then, it's just another week until November is over. Once December hits, it's smooth sailing.

I just can't get over how excited I am to be building my business. It's what I was meant to do. And I am finally going to get the chance to do it. I better work my butt off!!!!

Well here are a couple old pictures. Fun stuff from my past. My past is full of.......well.....many amazing wonderful memories and many wonderful amazing lessons. I have no complaints!

Time for a late lunch

We got some cool coupons in the mail for the new Panera Bread that opened up here in Mechanicsburg. They have a cool combo called, "You Pick Two." You choose two itmes from a half sandwich, half salad, and a bowl of soup. Megan and I both love the Smokehouse Turkey Panini. I always go with the Ceaser and Megan goes with the Baked Potato Soup, if they are offering it. I know this is kind of a lame post. But we NEVER have an afternoon off together. Even on Sundays. But today, we are relaxing. It's great! Anyways, the coupon is buy one "You Pick Two" combo, get another "You Pick Two" combo for free. Whoo Hoo!!!

We're off to one of our favorite places to eat!!!

Friday night relaxing

Finally, we have a night off! Our plans were simple. Go rent a movie, go buy some food, sit on the couch in our pj's and relax the whole evening. It has been wonderful so far! We rented The Full Monty. Such a great movie. Then we played Scene it? on our cool On Demand feature. Pretty nifty.

Now Megan is watching Men in Trees. I can do without that for a bit! So I thought I would blog for a bit. It's been a few days.

The Red Sox are in the World Series! Such a great feeling. I can't believe how attached I have gotten to that team. I keep buying shirts and dvd's, etc etc. I love it. Here's a great picture of me at Fenway Park last year. Megan got me tickets to see the Sox play the Yankees! For my birthday! What a perfect gift!

I can't wait to go back there. Megan and I have already decided to make a trip every year to Fenway for a game.

I thought I would include picture from Central Park, NYC. I love New York. I hate the Yankees, but I love the city of New York. I miss seeing shows there. We saw Rent not too long ago. We want to go back.

Well it's time to go to sleep. Big day tomorrow. Big breakfast, big rehearsal, big payment to get my fixed, more big rehearsal, big show in Allentown. I hope the kids have an amazing show. They only have 3 left. And they haven't come off the field feeling amazing yet. They need to have one of those shows that just feels amazing. Pray for them!

back home

Well we made it home safe and sound. We are blessed as usual. Megan spent time getting our apartment clean, while I went and did some laundry. Tonight is a HUGE night for the Red Sox. It's game 7 in the ALCS series against the Indians. If the Red Sox win tonight, they are going to the World Series! Holy crap that would be awesome! I'm so nervous I almost don't want to watch.

I have to thank my buddies from Recycled Percussion for showing me the passion of being a Red Sox fan. I became a fan before they ever won the World Series. It was 2003 actually. I started following sometime in May that year. Then came October. I was hooked. And then that piece of crap Bucky Dent. We won't talk about that. But next year was a miracle. And I hope to see another miracle this year. Wow!

Pittsburgh was fun. The football team actually played well! And, we FINALLY went to a Tailgate party in the lot before the game. We've been to thousands of games it feels like, and never to ONE tailgate.

After the game we took the shuttle back to the hotel. Then jumped in the Durango and headed to the Waterfront to see Dan in Real Life. It was incredible. Steve Carell was amazing. So genuine, and funny, and smart. I was hoping to NOT see the Steve Carell from The Office. The Office is one of the best shows that has ever existed. But I was hoping to see a side of his acting ability that would prove he's truly gifted in all areas. And he is! I can say the same for Dane Cook. He was great in the film also.

I have about a million pictures on my computer. I've decided to post a random picture on each of my blogs. It's too hard to choose which picture to talk about. So most of the time, there won't be any caption.

Here's one from over 3 years ago. I hope Dane Cook is around forever.

Pittsburgh

Well we FINALLY arrived in Pittsburgh. It usually takes almost 3 hours to drive here. That's if you drive like a normal person. So it usually takes us about 3 hours or more. Tonight, it took over 4 hours. Rain, traffic, nervous driving. It drove me NUTS! But, we got here safe. So who am I to complain!

Now I'm in the hotel room, pizza is on the way, and it's time to update the blog.

I wish people in PA were more into blogging. It seems that everyone I know in California is into it. Bummer!

Slowskys

Megan and I seem to be obsessed with this couple. They seem to make us laugh to the point of a great ab workout.

Enjoy!

It's on the way...... eventually

I found this picture from Valentines day. It was amazing. The snow had been so light all winter. And all of a sudden, we get this gigantic Ice storm. I am shoveling Ice in this picture! There was about 6-10 inches of solid ice all along the streets. And it happened over night into Valentines day. People had reservations that had to be canceled. It was great! Megan and I bundled up in her parents basement and watched movies. I'm hoping for another big storm like this again!

I'm almost back to normal!!!

Well I officially have internet hookup at home. Now.....I just have to wait for my iMac. I was ready to purchase it today, but I read that Apple is introducing their new OS. October 26th is the release date. That's not far away at all. So I think I will wait!

I want to post some pictures. Blogs can be boring to look at with no pics.

Soon!!!

See!! No Sleep!!

Boy oh boy have I been NOT sleeping since I last posted. It's 7am here at work. I really need to get out there and "manage" these ladies I direct. Finally I have a group of ladies I can stand! I know that's awful to say, but it has been tough the past couple years. Once Monday is over, October is halfway over! It's amazing! I was very anxious to add to my blog because I have so much to say. Of course, I have NO time to post any pictures or video about the past few days. Which have included a drive to Madison Wisconsin and back in 2 days, a couple of 13 hour work days, and staring at my beautiful wife. Crap she's awesome. If anyone can be HALF as lucky as me, you will have a full and wonderful life.

Ok I need to go. Hopefully I will be able to add some more excitement on this blag later.

Adios!

(I'm almost there! I can taste my home office!)

Last day to "sleep in"

That's if you call sleeping until 7am sleeping in! Tomorrow I have to be at work at 6:30 in the morning. I usually have to be here at 8am. I have done this the past two fall seasons. It's brutal. Especially since I don't want to be here. But is usually last 6-8 weeks. And then it's over.

I always remember back to when I was sitting in the car with Gary. He pointed to the AGI sign and said, "remember Brian. That place is going to make your business happen. Without that place, you won't have the capitol to get it off the ground. So every time you open a box of Chocolate, or drive the forklift, or walk in at 6:30am, remember that you're one step closer to your business."

When December rolls around, I will be able to run my own business as my full time job. I have dreamed about that! I just need to give myself a pep talk every single day. And keep telling myself that I can do it! God has given me the opportunity and the tools. It's up to me to walk through the door. There is no spoon!

Oh, and on a side note. I think I'm going to buy this jersey:
